At present, most patients requiring corneal transplant surgery are referred to Guatemala City and Merida, Mexico. Hoy Eye Center has made administrative arrangements with Dr. Francisco Gonzalez, Chairman Corneal Transplants Association in Mexico City.
Similarly to Retinal Detachment Surgery, all costs associated with hospitalization, travel, lodging and companions, would be considerably reduced by having the procedure done in Belize. Our operating theatre is fully equipped to handle any corneal transplant surgery.
Hoy Eye Center’s fees for corneal transplant surgery will include the initial surgery and all follow-up treatments with Dr. Gonzalez (unless additional surgery is required).
